Bookify AI

Bookify AI runs an internal tool to keep a reliable, up-to-date backup of the Google Sheets our team relies on for two ongoing workflows:

• Book formatting - tracking sheets and specifications used while formatting titles for publication.
• Distribution area updates - sheets used to manage and update the regions and channels our titles are distributed through.

Once connected to a Google account, the tool checks daily for any spreadsheet that account owns or has been shared with it, and downloads a copy as a standard .xlsx file whenever it detects a change - skipping sheets that haven't changed since the last check. This gives our team a version-independent backup outside of Google Drive, and a simple audit trail of when each sheet was last updated.

Access to Google Sheets is read-only. This tool never edits, deletes, or creates files in your Google Drive - it only reads and downloads copies of spreadsheets.
