Privacy Policy - Bookify AI

This Privacy Policy explains how Bookify AI ("Bookify AI", "we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the Bookify AI tool ("the Service") available at bookifyai.us. Bookify AI is not yet a registered corporate entity; this policy applies to the Service as operated by its team.

1. Information We Collect

When you connect a Google account to the Service, we collect and store:

Your Google account email address (via the userinfo.email scope), so we can show which account is connected.
OAuth access and refresh tokens (via the drive.readonly scope), encrypted at rest, used only to authenticate our requests to the Google Drive API on your behalf.
Metadata about your Google Sheets - file name, Google Drive file ID, and last-modified timestamp - used to detect when a sheet has changed since our last check.
Copies of spreadsheet content, exported and stored as .xlsx files, for the sheets the connected account owns or that have been shared with it.

2. How We Use Information

We use this information solely to list, detect changes in, and download spreadsheets belonging to or shared with the connected Google account, so our team has a reliable local backup for our book formatting and distribution-area update workflows. We do not use this data for advertising, and we do not analyze spreadsheet contents for any purpose beyond storing them as a backup.

3. Google API Services User Data Policy

Bookify AI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy , including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Data Storage & Security

Data is stored on our hosting provider's servers. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. All traffic to and from the Service is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to the Service's admin interface (where downloaded files can be viewed or downloaded) is restricted by authentication.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. Data is accessed only by Bookify AI team members for the purposes described in this policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain downloaded spreadsheet files and connection tokens for as long as the Google account remains connected to the Service. Disconnecting the account (via the Service's "Disconnect" button) revokes our access and stops future syncing. To request deletion of previously downloaded files, email support@bookifyai.us.

7. Your Rights

You can revoke the Service's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account's Third-party access settings, or via the "Disconnect" button in the Service itself. You may request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing support@bookifyai.us.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at, and does not knowingly collect information from, children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
